It's been way too long since my last posting, but that's life!
Although it was hard to let Sammie go, it was the right decision at the time. As cute as she was, she wasn't right for our family. At least we know she's with a family who loves her and takes care of her.
But good things come to those who wait, and finally we did adopt another dog. We adopted Maxie last Saturday, January 17. We think she was born around November 11, 2007, so she's about 11 weeks old. She is a basset hound mix and we think the "mix" is Staffordshire bull terrier. She is just as sweet, docile, and loving as she looks. There's a really connection between Maxie and our family--it's a match!
We're so happy to have her, and we hope she's around for a long, long time.

Ooooh, Maxie is so, so cute!! Thanks for sharing the picture and for sharing that she's just as sweet and docile as she looks. If I ever get a dog, I'm going to need that sweet and docile temperament. I've been spoiled by my cats for just too long!
